A perfect excuse for a party...

We discovered that the anniversary of Julie's 18th year of training in the martial arts, and 15th year of teaching martial arts and self-defence, coincided with Rick Faye's seminar in February. Seemed like a good idea to celebrate, so we planned a meal at the Rupert Brooke in Grantchester.

Guests included Rick Faye and Grandmaster Danny Guba, along with over 20 academy members and supporters. We took over the entire restaurant area...

There was some sneaky 'behind the scenes' activity, culminating in the presentation of an engraved silver plate, flowers and a card filled with good wishes, including letters and emails from members past and present.   Note the enormous bunch of flowers behind Tim's head!

Huge thanks to everyone who came along and/or contributed, and particularly to the sneaky people who shall remain nameless... for now...
