GBSF Savate Open Training & Grading Day - 26th November 2006

There was a really good turn out for this latest GBSF-sanctioned Savate day, held in the Gymnasium at Coleridge Community College, with people travelling from places as far as: Malvern, Oxford, London, and Birmingham. There were also a few from Cambridge too!

As well as the usual Boxe Savate kickboxing training, sessions were also held for Savate Defence and Canne de Combat.

Several people undertook coloured glove grading tests, for the first four levels of: Blue, Green, Red and White Glove. We are very pleased to say that there were a lot of happy but tired people who left the Gym late afternoon.

Pre-Christmas Social - 23rd November 2006

Around a dozen members met up at the Next Generation Club off Coldham's Lane in Cambridge for eats, drinks, a few laughs, and some tricks even! A fun night out for most of us - apart from Newman, perhaps, who had the front wheel nicked from his bike whilst it was parked up outside...

Canne de Combat seminar - Jean Pierre Laure - 18th November 2006

This Saturday afternoon seminar took place in the Gym, at Netherhall Lower School. The day itself was very informative, and great fun. We trained both Grand Baton and Canne de Combat. Jean Pierre also brought some cheese and wine over from France with him, and so we ended the day having a rather pleasant 'picnic' in the Gymnasium.
