COMBAT SOMBO |

Combat Sombo is the system of hand-to-hand fighting used by Soviet Spetsnaz (Special Forces) Troops. It offers a plain and simple approach to learning and practising fighting skills for combat and self-defence. This close-quarter system includes striking skills, takedowns and throws, joint-locks, chokes, nerve holds, tie-ups, and defence against weapons.

Sombo Wrestling is a competitive sport that is recognised world-wide (and by the UK Sports Council), with the most dangerous locking and choking techniques from Combat Sombo removed.
